Harry, as he is known, was the Director of Marketing and a Financial Planner. His primary responsibilities were to promote public awareness of the importance of financial planning, expand the client base of the practice and foster continuing dialogue with existing clients.
In practice since 1972, Harry devoted 29 years with New York Life (NYL) and Eagle Strategies Corporation as an insurance financial advisor and as a Registered Investment Representative. He spent 4 years in-charge of recruiting, training and development of sales and marketing personnel. Harry has been recognized by NYL’s senior management as a successful mentor under the MDRT/GAMA Joint Mentoring Program for outstanding leadership and for “giving back” to help others succeed and grow. He was recognized and awarded numerous times by industry groups and various companies for excellent service to clients. In 1992, New York Life awarded Harry a Lifetime Council Membership for having achieved 20 successive years of council honors achievement and in 1998 as Agent of the Year of the NJ General Office. He has been a Qualifying and Life Member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), an industry organization.
Harry is a graduate of the University of the Philippines earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Marketing. He taught marketing and economics at Sacred Heart College. While at the University of the Philippines, he was elected as Governor of the prestigious Pan Xenia International Foreign Trade Fraternity, a business fraternity founded in 1919 in the University of Washington, Seattle, WA and was a member of the university’s student executive council. He was admitted by Tokyo University graduate school of business, but due to time and language constraints, attended New York University instead, concentrating in accounting and finance. In 2001, the Board of Trustees of the American College in Bryn Mawr, PA granted him the designations of Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) upon successfully completing the required course studies.
Harry was member of the board of various civic and cultural organizations, namely: The Livingston Symphony Orchestra, The Friends’ Health Connection (a Lupus support group and winner of the NJ Governor’s Award in Volunteerism), The Bikas Kultural Art Society, the New York Times acclaimed Ma-Yi Theatre Company and the UP Alumni Association NJ Chapter.
Harry now lives in Phoenix, AZ with his wife and is enjoying the fruits of his labor.
